See, it’s easy. Share as little or as much about yourself as you like. Thanks for visiting.
I just checked in to make sure you hadn’t been deported. Love the writing. Keep it going .. . it’s kind of a dad’s p.o.v. “Operating Instructions.” Love to the fam.
I love you, it’s fun to read and laugh…eventhough you’re right next to me!
Hi Phil, I’m a regular reader. It’s like a one man support group helping me to survive my two year sentence in Worcester.
Hi Phil. First time writer, long time fan. Just discovered this through Sonya’s FB post. I don’t remember being so entertained while reading a blog. Keep up the good work. Give Sonya a hug for me and turn up the air conditioner. I remember the heat….whew. Strangely, I miss Tucson. It is a town outta place and time.
I can’t wait to show this to my husband… it’s wonderful.. All the better because I love your darling wife.
I wanna cry. No Lakers-Celtics Finals? I wish I didn’t have to watch it.
Hi Phil,
Just read your desert daddy thing and it’s great..I lived in Sanantonio, Tx for 10 years and I’m so glad you turned on the ac. It is not worth the suffering…. and we didn’t have ac but we had “swamp coolers” which worked. I would have not survived…………….Also, your name came up at a meeting as the webmaster? for Josh who is running for school board……………in this cool place ….sorry…….kiss Sonya and Naye and Adayah for us.
love Liz
Hi Phil,
I am an old friend of Sonya’s, from FW a million years ago. Just came across this from Sonya’s FB page. It and/or you are great. I was wondering what kind of guy you were and am glad to report that I approve of the marriage. As a stay-at-home Boston mom, I totally think it is totally justified to get a babysitter for Lakers-Celtics game 6. Take the evening off, go to the local bar and watch the Celtics take it home. You can even make it a double-whammy and bring a candle for Sonya’s bday.
Nice to finally meet you,
jacqui
This is amazing! I am enjoying reviewing your past posts and eagerly awaiting new ones. I hope all is well with you, Sonya, and the girls.
Ok, see the thing is, these are really good and they’re getting better and better. The last one was really funny. But now I’m sad, see… first it’s Lucas at 6’6″ to my 6’5.5″… and now it’s you with a better blog than mine… well, actually, I don’t really have a blog since, if you don’t write but one or two entries every six months you technically don’t qualify as a blogger… but that’s beside the point. Don’t go getting a fat head. My bank account is bigger than yours. So is my head.
Hey Phil!
I googled your name to see if you had a facebook page (yes, so we could be *real* friends, as we know ALL facebook friends are), and found this blog! Anyway it’s super entertaining and funny. I hope you are doing okay out there. We definitely miss you at MetWest (still working with a lot of your old students, who still talk about you!). You should come by and say hi when you are in town.
Best to you and yours,
Melinda
Hi Phil,
I miss your humor out in Oakland and the random texts sent throughout the day. Your parenting perspective is wonderfully witty — reminds me of Nicholson Baker. Thanks for sharing.
